CUCUBANO CIGARS

RING 52 X 5 !/2”

“CUCUBANO” is the Taino Indian word for a click beetle (Pyrophorus Luminosus). It is a small insect that produces bioluminescence from the back and mid sections separately. It has been said that the female Taino indians used the Cucubano as decoration on their hair. They also used the bioluminescence “ink” from the Cucubano to paint their bodies and emit light themselves as they smoked cohoba (tobacco) during their religious rituals.
